  • Trying to get my tractor back to running order. Installed 2 new 12.4X28 tires, axel seals, new brake shoes,8 hydraulic hoses so far. Started up pretty easy after sitting for several years. Would like to know make of Loader and how to bleed the hydraulics. All comments appreciated. Thank you!!!!!

  • Any air in the hydraulics lines should work itself out after operating the cylinders for a while. The motion may be jerky for a while until the air works out. Other than simply moving the rams back and forth for a while, you shouldn't have to do anything extra. If you still want to bleed the lines, it will take 2 people. Have one person slowly move the operating handle while the other cracks the hose fittings loose at the cylinder conenctions. Do one at a time. The idea is to loosen the fitting that you're trying to push oil into. You'll get sputtering and oil spray as the air comes out. When the sputtering stops and you have clear oil coming out, tighten the fitting. Watch out for oil spray. Operate the valve VERY slowly, sothe oil just wants to trickle out. be careful not to run the hydraulic reservoir dry.
